Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data LifeEdit collects when you use this website and our assessment and digital products, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain about what we do.
Who we are
LifeEdit ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@lifeeditco.com.
[Registered business name, legal form and postal address to be added by the operator before EU launch.]
What we collect
Assessment responses: the answers you give in the LifeEdit assessment. These are used to generate your result and personalised plan. Your answers are held in your own browser and used to produce your result; we do not sell them and we never share your individual answers with advertising platforms.
Contact details: your email address (and first name if you provide it) when you request your results or make a purchase.
Purchase information: what you bought, the amount, and a payment reference. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider (Stripe) and are never stored on our systems.
Technical and usage data: for visitors who consent to analytics, we collect standard information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, via first-party analytics.
How we use your data
To provide the assessment, generate your result, and deliver and give you access to any product you purchase.
To send you your results, your access link, and service messages about your purchase.
With your consent, to send you marketing emails and to measure and improve our advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time.
To operate, secure and improve the site, and to comply with our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting).
Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)
Performance of a contract: to deliver a product you have bought and give you access to it.
Consent: for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, and for marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
Legitimate interests: to keep the site secure and to understand and improve how it is used, balanced against your rights.
Legal obligation: to keep records we are required by law to keep.
Who we share it with
Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy.
Loops — to send your results, access link and (with consent) marketing email.
PostHog — first-party product analytics, used only where you have consented.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement. This runs only if you accept advertising cookies. When we send a purchase event to Meta, we send only your email in a securely hashed (irreversible) form plus standard advertising identifiers — never your assessment answers, your result, or any health, financial or free-text information.
SeaText — website marketing-copy optimisation and translation, used only on our public marketing pages and only if you accept. It may receive technical usage data (page addresses, referral/campaign parameters, pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, which copy variant you saw, and whether you converted). It is not used on the assessment, the paid experience, checkout or account areas, so it does not receive your answers, results, plan, or any health, financial or free-text content.
We may also share data where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of essential cookies to run the site and remember your access, and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full detail, and use the cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and access records for as long as you have access to a product and for as long afterwards as we are legally required to (for example for tax records). Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Assessment responses held in your browser are cleared when you clear your browser storage.
Your rights
Subject to the law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@lifeeditco.com.
You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. [If established in the EU/UK, name the relevant supervisory authority here.]
International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Stripe, Loops, PostHog and Meta) may process data outside your country. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
This service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top when we do, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
